ROSS Engineering was successfully awarded the detailing, fabrication, and installation of 40 individual stair systems within a state-of-the-art semiconductor manufacturing facility at the Leixlip Campus, Kildare. The scope included a wide range of stair types, from internal steel pan stairs to external galvanised stairs and access platforms.

To ensure absolute accuracy within the as-built environment, 3D site surveys were completed prior to fabrication. Stairs were then fully developed using Navisworks and BIM modelling, generating coordinated GA drawings for client approval and ensuring full compliance with design, code, and specification requirements.

Our scope of works included:

  • 3D site surveys for precise placement
  • Full stair design using Navisworks and BIM coordination
  • Offsite fabrication and pre-assembly to reduce on-site installation time
  • Installation using specialist lifting equipment including spider cranes, electric hoists, and A-frame gantries
  • Stair spans of up to 35 metres
  • Final tying-in to primary steel structures and concrete slabs
  • Full digital QA documentation and as-built handover
